Our SDG Action
Ending malaria saves lives and unlocks human potential. Investing in malaria prevention and elimination means investing in healthier and more prosperous societies. This project contributes to achieving the following Sustainable Development Goals –
- Improving Health and Well-Being – Goal 3
- Clean Water and Sanitation – Goal 6
- Climate Action – Goal 13
- Partnerships – Goal 17
Efforts to prevent, control and eliminate malaria both contribute to and benefit from sustainable development. The objectives of reducing the disease burden and eliminating malaria are intrinsically linked to most of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and are central to SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages and its Target 3.3: “By 2030, end the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and neglected tropical diseases and combat hepatitis, water-borne diseases and other communicable diseases.”
