About Ned Nwoko Foundation
Ned Nwoko Foundation is a non-governmental organization founded and chaired by entrepreneur, philanthropist and former member of Nigeria’s Federal Parliament, Prince Ned Munir Nwoko. The Foundation is committed to working with concerned national and multilateral organizations as well as governments, private organizations and civil society towards achieving its goals of rendering support and services to the needy, the society and humanity at large.
The core areas of intervention by the foundation are:
- Health and Environment
- Education
- Tourism and Culture
- Sports and Social Services
In pursuit of its mandate, the foundation has been an organ for bridging gaps in essential infrastructure delivery, scholarships to hundreds of indigent students as well as outstanding students, and provision of succor for the handicapped, the elderly, poor, and widows. It is also involved in talents discovery and development across many areas such as sports, music, drama, and some other aspects of entertainment.
Prince Ned Nwoko is an ardent believer in universal humanity who has an uncommon kind disposition towards commoners, the sick and vulnerable. It is his inclination to empathizing, giving and caring that made him to embark on the current malaria eradication and malaria vaccine research programme through the instrumentality of Ned Nwoko Foundation.
